Objective: To discuss the effects of different drying methods on officinal qualities of Flos Lonicerae. Methods: The following six methods were used:drying in the shade, drying in the sun, vacuum drying, far infrared drying, microwave drying, and oven drying.External qualities were studied and the contents of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid C were determined by HPLC.HPLC was performed on a Kromasile C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)at 30℃.The composition of mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.1% phosphoric acid with gradient elution, the flow rate was 1 mL·min-1,and the injection volume was 10 μL. Results: The content of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, isochlorogenic acid A and isochlorogenic acid C in the vacuum drying sample was 0.094%,2.982%,1.804% and 0.255% respectively, which was obviously higher than samples dried by other five methods;the color and texture of the vacuum drying sample was also better. Conclusion: The appearance and contents of chlorogenic acids of the vacuum drying sample are better than those of the others, indicating that the vacuum drying method is obviously better than the others.
