Objective:To develop an RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of β-eudesmol and atractylon in Atractylodes lancea.Methods:The determination was performed by HPLC method,a Comatex C18-AB column(150 mm×46 mm,5 μm) was adopted with a mobile phase of acetonitrile-water-ammonium bicarbonate(65∶35∶02) at a flow rate of 10 mL·min-1;The detection wavelength was set at 203 nm and the column temperature was 25 ℃.Results:The linear ranges of β-eudesmol and atractylon were 23-1150 μg·mL-1(r=1000) and 112-560 μg·mL-1(r=09999),respectively;The average recoveries(n=9) of the two components in Atractylodes lancea were 993% and 999%,respectively.Conclusion:The method is simple,precise and reliable for determination of β-eudesmol and atractylon in Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC..
