Objective: To establish the qualitative and quantitative methods for the quality control of Yimusake tablets.Methods: Papaveris Pericarpium,Semen Strychni,Saffron,Flos Caryophylli,Radix Salep,Myristicae Semen,OliBanam,Alpinia a Officinarum Rhuzoma were identified by thin layer chromatography(TLC),and the contents of morphine,codeine,papaverine,brucine and strychnine were determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results: The spots in TLC were clear with good separation and the blank tests showed no interference.Each component showed good linear relationship in quantitative tests and the average recoveries meted the requirements.Conclusion: It are accurate,reliable for qualitative and quantitative analysis.The methods can be used for the quality control of Yimusake tablets.
