The principle of operation,preconditioning method of the spectrum,quantitative and qualitative analytical method by near infrared spectral technology is introduced in this paper.The current applications in the field of traditional Chinese medicinal materials by near infrared spectral technology are well discussed here.We point out the problems in the near infrared spectral analysis on the traditional Chinese medicinal materials and present the potential application in the future.
