Objective:To develop an RP-HPLC method for the determination of verbascoside in Folium Callicarpae Pedunculatae.Methods:The separation was performed at 30 ℃ on an Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm)with a mobile phase of acetonitrile-0.5% phosphoric acid(17∶83).The flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1,and the detecting wavelength was 332 nm.Results:The linear range of verbascoside was from 11.36 to 227.2 μg·mL-1;The average recovery(n=6) of verbascoside was 96.8%(RSD=1.4%).Conclusion:The method is simple and accurate with good reproducibility.It can be used to control the quality of Folium Callicarpae Pedunculatae.
