Objective:To establish an HPLC method for the determination of phenol in compound borax solution.Methods:A column of μBondapak C18(150 mm×4.6 mm,10 μm) was adopted,and the mobile phase was the mixture of methanol and water(75∶25) at a flow rate of 0.8 mL·min-1;The wavelength was set at 270 nm.Results:There was a good linear relationship in the concentration range of 4-36 μg·mL-1(r=0.9997);The average recovery(n=9) was 100.1%.Conclusion:The method is simple,rapid,accurate,and suitable for the determination of phenol content in compound borax solution.
