目的：进一步阐明具异型维管束的苦参是苦参（Sophora flavescens Ait.）的根茎。方法：从根和根茎的一般组织构造及根茎的形态特征说明苦参地下部分有根茎存在。结论：目前商品苦参是具有异型维管束的根茎和不具异型维管束的根并存，与2005年版中国药典（一部）的记载不同。
